Romney WILL be the nominee. That really isn't something up for debate unless you are living in a separate reality than most of us.

He WILL surge after the nomination.

We WILL pull in a lot of independents.

BUT

He WILL NOT get the necessary financial backing from the completelyinsaneChristiansect of the rightwing due to his Mormon faith. That will be his one downfall. Moderate Republicans should love him (other than the fact he so blantantly caves to the extremists in his party) but they failed to reign in the wackos in their own party so they've already failed.

Obama will be a 2-termer despite the hate.

As dumb as Hank is, I would bet with him because I believe he'd at least pay his debt. Sol Duc on the other hand...
