Cabela's needs to bring back their Guide Tech boots. They were the best wading boots I've ever had. Comfortable, stable, long lasting. I liked them so much I bought extras before the first pair was dead. Glad I did because they discontinued them.
Wholesale Sports had Korkers on sale late last winter so I got a set. Total garbage. The interchangable sole wasn't a problem, it was the sole of the boot they attach to that came off.
I'm wearing an old pair of Cabela's Guide boots right now but they need to be replaced. They've been pretty decent boots but have also been discontinued.
It seems like the good boots I've had have are no longer in production. I guess I'm not much help.
Oh, I've tried a set of Cabela's studded boots in the last 18 months too. They sucked. The studs in the ball of the foot won't stay in.
