I fish from a coleman crawdad that displaces a lot more water than a scanoe. I have a 32lbs thrust minnkota with a costco battery and I can fish 12 hour long with no problem. You should be fine.

PS if you don't have one by spring let me know I plan to get a new minnota. Mine still works it just makes strange noises. I'll let it go for a tall frosty one.
