As a matter of fact, the shoved player is illegally screening for his teammate to collect the ball and that wasn't called either.

That kid is probably on the team because Connell is small enough that they need bodies to fill out a team. The population of Connell is only 3,500 people.


And actually it is legal to set screens in basketball, it is an old and almost lost art in todays game. As long as the player setting the screen has his feet set, then it is legal.
