Has any one been over to the cowichee unit (yakima) this year? I am setting up a week long bowhunt in the first week of Dec. And was wondering if there was any fire damage in that area? The WDFW droped the muzzel loader hunt that would typicaly occer before the archery hunt. This should allow for the Elk and deer to get a little rest after the modern hunt. I hunted it two years ago and I must have seen 100 head of Elk a day. Pretty awsome seeing 6 monster bulls walk 20 yards past you while you eat lunch on the back of your tail-gate.
