I have always rooted for Ichiro like I did for Edgar. Not because they were the greatest ballplayers (though they were very good in their prime) but because they were even better people.

I agree with you, regardless of how anyone perceives the M's this year, Ichiro is showing his age and deserves a shot at a ring instead of fizzling out at the end of another losing season.
