We pull our pots every couple hrs or so to make sure we have no sea stars and to grab any legals. I leave the sub-legals in the pot until my last pull. We had 2 of our pots picked clean off Hat island 2 weeks ago. Pots we'd sent down with a bunch of sub-legals. Definitive proof of picking.

What I don't get. Why not pull the pot and either steal it outright or just eyeball for keepers and quickly drop it back down.
