I put in for both too. Hope mostly for the elk for the same reason Ape mentioned, with max points would like to put in for east side permits for bow but hunt my west side if no draw. On that subject what is the opoinion on best permit areas for archery for big bull. I went to oak creek feed area this March and saw some dandy east side bulls that makes me think the east side is where to go for the permit. What do you think. As for deer I blew all my points on a entiat bow tag last year had fun and tagged a small buck so starting over now.
