Well, I don't know if I believe that you went though the crash course because one of the things that is stressed is that economic and population growth can't be sustained in a finite world and doesn't equal prosperity.

I graduated from high school that year and was there too. Drove down from Seattle. I got there the day of the show. Sounds like I missed the good part. A friend and I were down by the stage and way to close to all the mayhem. Did you encounter that group of Hell Angels lead by that asshole with the coyote face hat that were beating the crap out of random people? About 6:00 there is a naked chick flailing around in front of the stage. I was about 50 ft in front of the stage and she came flailing right by me when some Mexican jumped her and tried to fvck her right at my feet. I was standing there contemplating whether kicking him in the balls was worth the chance of his buddys sticking a knife in my ribs when luckily she fought the prick off. A few minutes later I see her getting pulled up on the stage by some Hells Angels and I'm thinking now she's in good hands. Hahaha.
