That's good news about China but even with the fertility rate down the actual growth rate is still ,5% and the world growth rate is 1.15%. With a population of around 7 billion that's a lot of people added. The UN predicts the world population will peak at 9.22 billion in 2075. Who knows, maybe there will be a pandemic and the population will be way down soon.
Putting that aside, I still think you should go through the whole crash course before you come to a conclusion. If you did that you would know that many of the things laid out in it aren't hard predictions, just varying probability of happening and at the end gives a guide of for what individuals can do to prepare for whatever scenario they feel is most likely to happen.
