If one wants to argue that this administration is incompetent, it’s an easy argument. But to see Machiavellian evil here is a big leap. The Teaparty has been Obama’s biggest friend. They weaken the Republican Party, kept the republicans from a senate majority and are generally the best thing that ever happened to Obama. If he has Machiavellian tendencies he would help them every chance he gets. Just saying.
