Just be done with it and go with the Honda. Mines almost 20 years old and still running like a champ.

A buddy of mine's skiff sank one day while buoyed in a storm. Pulled it to shore. Drained the oil and refilled it and it too has been running like a champ ever since. That was about a decade ago.
