I bought one and the battery terminals were slightly wider than the 2 batteries were, when they were installed so the light wasn't operating due to a poor connection. I made a small wedge out of a piece of a pop can, installed the batteries, put the wedge in between the batteries and the connection was fine and the light worked well. Much brighter than the Brads.

Not saying this should happen with a $12 plug, but at least it got the $12 plug working.
