Howdy, One of the main advantadge's of pulling plug's is the guy rowing get's to fish. A properly matched spoon or spinner can fish an incredible amount of holding water to get the aggresive fish. Watch your spoon all the way in to get a glimpse of a chaser. Don't pull the lure out of the water if you do see that, jig it or let it set down untill your sure it's back to the lie. You will catch this fish next cast, if you can control the adrenaline, and don't botch it. Drift gear has the ability to put your offer time after time into the fishes comfort zone, and gives you the most feel for those "I'm just a little whitefish" nibbles that start pounding when you lift up. Float's are the way to go in pocket's, and seams and run's of water that is to slow or swirly to drift without snagging. Enjoy the River!
