i've talked about this with many people, just like bob said if you remove all the large individuals from a population you start to get smaller fish for example take california's kalamath river, after decades of tribal gill netting removing all the large individuals, the size of the fish in the run has dramatically decreased, they used to have fairly large fish in the kalamath run,but now the average sized steelhead is 4-5 pounds and a large steelhead in that system is 8-10 pounds.if you caught one that was 12 pounds it would be a real trophy!!!,even the size of there salmon has decreased were talking only 10-12 pounds on average,so i hope this helps.

FISH ON!!!
