Sorry guys but I think the real problems with the fish run in the north west is simply this... The people that made the laws and passed the bills about 30-40 years ago had no way of knowing what the results would be down the road. The northwest had few people when the damns were built and even fewer when the indian treatys were signed. There is no way that we can expect that less people will want to come live here.. ( native of Idaho.. talk about influx and change!!) But at the same time, now that we know what happened to the fish.. ( thats a fact )WE DON'T DO ANYTHING TO CHANGE IT !!! Fish can and would come back if everyone could understand thats its the year 2000 and we did not do a very good job a while back with understanding the results of our actions.. The new people did not kill all the runs your dad and grandpa did!!
