Four of us went to see Mad Max: Fury Road Saturday evening. At the start of the movie, the theater was 80% empty. That surprised me.

All of us enjoyed the show. Non stop action from the opening credits until the closing credits. Hard to believe no stuntmen were killed in the filming of Fury Road. Visually, it seemed like George Miller, Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, and David Lynch could all have had a hand in making this Mad Max. Of the four Mad Max films already released, I like Mel Gibson's Road Warrior best.

I left the theater thinking of another chase movie. In it's time, Duel was a very effective psychological thriller starring Dennis Weaver. It was directed by Spielberg. Nearly 45 years have passed since a demented semi driver chased Weaver's sedan across the American west and the silver screen.
