I just got a sled and have an F8 I used for my drift boat. Is it a hassle having to manually tilt the motor? I'm thinking about selling it for a T9.9. Haven't had a chance to take it out yet.

I absolutely prefer the F8 over a Mercury 9.9 I had before it. It's a bare bones, start at first pull, light, work horse. I had issues with the Mercury. I'm sticking with Yamaha. Don't have an opinion about anything else but I do think the Tohatsu's are made by Mercury. Honda's seem big to me but I don't know anything about them. I've always read that you want a 4 stroke for a kicker since they run clean and are quieter.
