Congress is on track to provide $15 million in funding to get the ball rolling on the water system for Port Angeles which has a completion timeframe four years out followed by removal of either one or two of the Elwha Dams.
The bill that authorizes these funds has made it out of a testy conference committee and is headed for the floor of both bodies this week for passage without debate. ****s was able to get a promise of approval from the administration so maybe we will actually see the damn project get started in our life times.
