A couple years ago, as I'm cubing up the filets, I noticed a huge...and I mean a couple feet long and a half inch wide huge, white tape worm crawl out of the carcass of an eighteen pound king I caught at Pt.Defiance...that really got my attention. I made sure to cook that meat well and didn't have any problems with anyone getting sick. I didn't tell anyone about it then either though, or that meat would have probably all gone to me. Oh ya...tapeworms are definitely able to infest humans if the meat is not properly cooked...so beware. Dictionary definition of tapeworm: a flatworm with a long ribbon-shaped segmented body that exists in many varieties and lives mainly as a parasite in the gut of vertebrate animals. Infestation is common among domestic animals, and humans can also become infested, especially by eating undercooked meat containing tapeworm larvae.
Bon appé[Bleeeeep!]!
