I lived and breathed steelheading for about 15 yrs, until the bottom dropped out of the Puget sound systems. There is still opportunity to find solitude and grind out some fish. The key is to cover ALOT of water and not be [Bleeeeep!] around with gear.....or stand at the hatchery terminal with 30 guys and synchronize cast while trying not to get aids or the flu.

The last ten years have been spent fishing the infamous Idaho BRuns, a lot of fun although not the same as a gun metal black back with clear fins.

Once it gets in your blood, you are doomed. Enjoy the journey!
