If bait is legal, I would go with a big cluster of roe (golf ball size or bigger) below a float. Try to present the bait about a foot or two off the bottom. A lot of your takes will just be a dip of the float and if you don’t pull the trigger you’ve missed it. A high graphite, fast action rod is a plus because you can feel the fish munching as they drift with the eggs but not moving the float. The fish just pick it up for a second and let it go so you have got to be on the ball. Also change bait ever four or five casts. It seems your best chance is the first cast after a bait change.
