Looks like a weapon or spray would have helped this particular attack. A starving young male cat looking to set up his territory. He was many pounds underweight. Maybe if the tree companies stopped spraying for weeds (that kills off big game), this cat would have more to eat. The deer herds used to be a lot healthier than they are today.

One of my ex gf's and her "enlightened" friends demanded that I not carry on a backpacking trip. I said sure, I won't carry but your friends will now have to stand in front of me and take one for the team. They looked at me like I was Satan himself for suggesting something like that. I laughed and then didn't go on that trip. I dumped her punk ass a couple of weeks later.
