Jigs or spoons will provide you with some hookups this winter, provided you are fishing them correctly. The key to spoon fishing is to work it slowly, almost like drift fishing, then let it complete its swing and reel in slowly all the way back to your rod tip. You will be suprised how many fish will take the spoon just as your getting ready to lift it out of the water for another cast. Good Luck1
