FWIW and IMO - Kaepernick knows he sucks on the field. He could sense his career coming to an end and did what he felt he had to do to stay in the spotlight while shifting the message away from his on-field performance.

Well said. He knows he can't read defense's and doesn't throw an accurate ball and at best would be a average back up. He did this to cash in on a law suit against the Niners for letting him go because he was being discriminated. It took a different path he didn't expect. He will make a little dough, nothing compared to signing with Denver.
