If they go to a port of entry they'll be granted an asylum hearing. However, there's no longer any "catch and release" where upwards of 80% don't bother to appear at their hearings. They'll be held at the border in whatever facilities are available to house them for as long as it takes to grant or deny asylum.


100% of them will be denied asylum as none of them qualify. If they wanted asylum, they have to apply in Mexico, the first country they entered.
