I watched some of the live stream from congress yesterday regarding such topics as privacy where the Google CEO talked about working 18 months with Europe to protect privacy of the European people and a congressman wanted the US to adopt certain aspects of that agreement to protect the US people which have little protection from data collection being done.
Other topics was demonetization of certain you tube channels, shadow banning, googles possible election interference in certain key states as stated by google exec memo, the idea to opt in instead of opting out since most people do not know the intricacies involving all the various apps, and instead of tutorials have phone lines open since tutorials are frustrating and do not answer the specific question asked--etc.
IMO, the CEO seemed to be quite evasive regardless of questions being asked by the left or right.
The scariest person in yesterday’s proceedings was the congressman stating-- google needs to get things right-- because if you don’t-- congress will--and I guarantee--you will not like what you see.
