How much were the settlements for?

They don't release that stuff generally. The original WaPo suit was $250 million and I believe the CNN suit was for $275M. The other 4 are still pending, but I'm sure they'll all settle too. Even if they settled for a 1/10th of the original amounts, that's still piles of cash. Lawyers will get their 30 - 40%.

Agree - I don't. Logic says that it was for piles of cash. Like I said, even if it was 1/10th the original amount, it'll still be more money than you and I will ever see in our lifetimes. They settled for 1/100 what they made off selling advertising on their click-bait "news" article and 1/10 what it would have cost them to fight it in court.
