Has anyone ever tried their gear? I am eyeballing it for my next wading jacket/wader purchase. I've read decent reviews but don't know anyone that has tried it. 5 layer construction on the waders and the jacket looks well designed. ?? Thanks in advance.

I bought a pair of the nice zippered ones a couple seasons ago for the cedar river sockeye project...rowing a boat 5 days a week and a average of 2 miles walking a day.
Started in Sept, ended in mid February.

They had bad scuffing and rash along the inside seam, and piling on the seat and the main zipper was getting rough just to name a few problems. I was not impressed...

I pulled them back out for a wetland project I was on 3 months ago and decided to flex seal the inside and outside...that worked okay lol

I doubt it, saw them at last year's trade show and everything is the same as far as stitching. ..I complained to them and how they f'd me on warranty work...got some bs excuses, and some drivle about how simms holds patents for "all the good ideas"
I laughed at him and walked away.
Meanwhile I have a set of g3's that were bought in '09, spent 3 years doing wdfw surveys and then retired to spend the rest of the time as personal and backup fishing waders, they still get used (though I just got a new pair so now they are loaners)

I have had the jacket for 4 years-great rain jacket-lousy fishing jacket! Have been in AK down pours and always stayed dry. Lousy fishing jacket because pockets are poorly designed-too small to hold anything and hard to get into. Solved problem by wearing a Fish Pond vest to hold gear.

I know it's a boring answer, but...Simms. I've been fishing Simms since the mid 80's and I've never once had a piece of gear leak, fail or break in any way. You get what you pay for.

Pulled the pin on a set of waders and jacket from these guys. I will give a review after a full season. I'm hard on my gear. So far I've been impressed with their responsiveness to my questions .

I have a friend in Oregon who has been using their new waders and he is the most hardcore bank angler I know. I trust his opinion and he says he is no less than completely sold on them,so I took the plunge. I don't just make uneducated decisions on gear and I don't take anyone's word on it as gospel, unless I truly know that person. I fish pretty dam hard but Mikey fishes more than probably anyone I know so I trust his judgement. I was on the fence until I got his opinion. I do value the input I got here. So we shall see. I'm going to put these things through the paces.
