Fished at Metzler park today. Used jigs and floats. fifteen minutes into the day my brother hooked into a little 5 pound hen. We got it on the bank, but somehow my leader snapped and she swam away. Didn't get any other hits the whole day. That was the only fish I saw taken. A guy who came down to see how we where doing said he took a fish at geyser. Don't know how big or if it was a hatch or not. I'm wondering if the lower river is producing. If it is where is the best water located in Auburn. Thanks and good luck.

Hey Sturza-
Was it you and your brother I saw leaving today? I was the guy with the orange truck that asked how you did. Today was my first time up there for Steelhead. Seems like the water was very low. I probably should try fishing it when I have more than 3 hours before it gets dark. Needless to say, I didn't catch anything. I did see a small bright one and a pretty good sized summer-run. Just couldn't get them to take what I had to offer. Too bad about your brother. Like I said before, it's better to have hooked one and lost it than to not get a bite at all.

Fished the lower river this morning, I fish between Porter's bridge and the garbage dump. Got 1 8 pound chrome hen and lost a very large fish I never saw. Fishing a pink worm on a 1/4 oz Rainbow Jigs jighead below a float.

Ya that's me. It was my brother's first steelhead that he's hooked himself. I feel kinda bad after losing it. He's fought fish that I've hooked so it wasen't too big of a deal. I'm going to head over to Auburn by where Jigman fished. Have fun and good luck to all.

Fished the lower (Auburn area) Green for the first time today. Tried corky and yarn and then eggs...nada. River was clear and looked a little low although I have nothing to gauge this on as its my first time there. Anyway, didnt even see any landed. The only fish I saw was a half dead silver which I almost stepped on by the big log jam. Might give it a try again tommorrow, sure is a pretty river with a lot of promising looking water.

fished the green today. kicked ass!!!!!!!!!
fished around highway 18. landed two lost one
at the shoreline. had three other bites but missed them. all that in about two hours.
about eight other fishermen and no fish. i
have to go back tomorrow. all fish were about
eight pounds. one bite i had was a good fish,
i felt a couple of big head throbs and it was
gone. not too bad for low clear water. my last four outings on the green, sky and the
n.f. stilly has produced six fish on the bank
and about three or four fished lost. well
FISH ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These pink worms are made for steelhead. I use the 4" curly tail and cut an inch off the head then just run the hook about an inch through it with the tail turning the opposite direction of the hook.

to jigman:
sounds like you hooked a couple of fish
today. i just moved to maple valley and the
green is about fifteen minutes away. i was
wondering if you would like to hook up and
fish the green one of these days. i would
like to learn how to bobber fish correctly.
lets swap info on the river. if you want to
go fish just let me know when and where you
want to meet and how to get there from maple
valley via highway 18. ill be on the green
tomorrow morning at the carbody hole. i wear
a black detroit tiger hat. FISH ON !!!!!!!!
