I am wondering if I could get some feedback on inflatable vests. Has anyone actually had to use one? They seem like a lot of extra weight. Any comments pro or con would be appreciated. A favorite brand or style might help in my decision. Thanks in advance... I have a Stormy Sea's vest that I wear in my boat, or in my float tube. It is a fly-fishing cut, so it is not bulky and doesn't hang low on my back. I guess it would work fishing on shore. Better than taking a trip under water with no floatation. I've got them made all the way down to fit my 4 yr old son. Very light ,not bulky, you wouldn't even know you are wearing one.
