What happened with oil in 1991?

George Bush SR/Federal Reserve crashed the oil price to bankrupt the USSR. It worked pretty good at destroying the Soviet Union.
Right now Russia is flooding the oil market with cheep oil creating a "glut" in the biggest economic downturn since 1929, it seems that the House of Saud has joined up with the Russians.
To me it looks like the Russians are successfully destroying the United States by crashing oil. The House of Saud wants out of the Petrodollar contract so it is also crashing oil.
The main target here is the destruction of the dollar.
They can keep the market flooded with oil for a very long time. What is their incentive to stop?

Russia is tanking our economy by lowering oil prices? Dang. I thought the economy was tanking because everyone is staying home to avoid the cornhole virus.
Restaurants, stores, planes, casinos, even Disneyland, all empty because those dastardly Russians made gas cheap. It all makes sense now.
