That may be open to debate.

Rich, some people don't have a pot to piss in or a windowe to throw it out of. You live in a fuckin bubble. There are millions who live in inner cities, who have kids to support, who have measly sayings. Your statements show me just exactly how narrow your world view is. Maybe you should stop being so goddamn selfish and try and help others. That would make you not only a good American in my eyes, but a good human being. Instead of all for one ,you have the motto of all for me. We are all in this together, like it or not. You are being an asshat.

I personally don't need 1200 bucks to survive this. But that doesn't gve me the right to say that nobody else should get any assistance. Call me mushy but I actually give a fvck about people.

+1

Rich brings no value whatsoever to this nation. We'd be better off with him gone.

As an individual, that's the lowest score you can possibly get. Rich is right there with child molesters and rapists as far as I'm concerned. It's all about him, and fvck everyone else.

Dan - I'd argue that criminal TP hoarders are lower than molesters.

Rich doesn't want or need a bailout because he's rollin' in that sweet, sweet TP profit margin.

Rich - remember to let the IRS know about that extra earned income buddy.

So just before this corona virus shelter in place was implemented I had just paid 2 grand in workers comp and liability insurance for my business. Fast forward a week when I have 16 grand in revenue for the months of March and April fall through,as well as multiple bills, payroll etc,and it becomes a perfect storm. Sucks. But I don-t cry about it. I will just do what I have to do.

I have complete empathy for both people and businesses in this situation and believe helping both is in order. 15% -30% unemployment isn't good for anyone and businesses that go under can no longer employ people. However, the guidelines and structure should be in place that businesses do not profit from that help or even get to protect the profit they were otherwise projecting. Bailout should be a last-resort rescue in order to protect jobs not protect profit. Big business can take their lumps just like the rest of us.

If you divorce yourself from the emotion of it, this is a natural process of culling the weak. Happens in the natural world, happens with people, and should be allowed to happen with businesses as well. That can be balanced with the understanding that we the people asked business to shut down to help protect our lives. Helping them protect the life of their business in return makes sense. Saving their life is one thing and a good thing in most cases. Going overboard and protecting their profits as if this never happened is something else altogether and benefits the few and those that don't really need a "bailout". Big business and their shareholders can take their lumps just like the rest of society.

I rely on commissions to make the money I do and have had more than half my book of business shut down in the past 2 weeks putting a serious divot in my cashflow. I don't get to go running to the feds and ask them to make up the difference nor do I qualify for a coronacheck even though my income won't cover my expenses for the next few months. Instead I've pivoted and looked for opportunities with companies that may be looking to invest in technology during the downturn or existing clients that have new and different needs at this time. By using my head instead of holding out my hand for a handout I've been able to close new deals that now have more than made up for the projects put on hold.

Not every type of business can do that but they sure as hell should be trying to pivot and adapt before holding out their hands! I'd love to see big business have to pay all that money back directly to a fund that gets distributed back to taxpayers who are ultimately the ones footing the bill.

Hang in there man. You are not alone.

Remember, if I owe you $500, that's my problem. If I owe you $500K, that's your problem. The banks will have no choice but to play ball. I've said this before, but it's worth repeating.

Yes to all of this. This is why I think they should jail the airline execs, confiscate all "their" money, and give it back to the airline companies so they can operate their business and pay their employees.

Those selfish bastards are the very worst thing that Capitalism has to offer, and the worse greedy Socialists on the planet.

It looks like the Government offered $29B in grants to the airlines...but they are restricted in using it only for payroll and other worker benefits.

Good.

I still think they should jail the execs who cashed in on the last bailout and pay back the taxpayers with everything they own.

Fish on...

So...while Sol Dunce and NapD90n were getting their panties all knotted up over 100% fake made up news...solid job, guys...the White House and the Senate came up with a bipartisan bill that gave "loans" to big corporations that may be forgiven if they use the money to benefit workers and workers benefits (rather than lining the exec pockets again), $1200 checks (or less depending on your income) for taxpayers, $500 for each kid, and extended/increased unemployment insurance for a wide group of people who are out of work right now, or will be soon.

$500 Billion for businesses, a pile of money for healthcare workers and supplies, cash for taxpayers, and unemployment for many who have lost their jobs.

All good, right?

Nope.

Four senators, including bootlicker extraordinaire, Lindsey Graham, have objected to the relief bill.

Why, you ask?

Because a small amount, like less than 5%, of the people who will be eligible for the enhanced unemployment insurance, "might"...might...actually make $600 more per month on the insurance than they would on their low paying jobs that they lost.

These four senators feel that those people might quit their jobs so they can instead collect $20 a day more in unemployment for a few months.

So...considering all the completely fabricated outrage from the bootlickers, cumguzzlers, and other assorted right wing fruitcakes over the Democrats objecting to a $500 Billion slush fund with no conditions being doled out by President Trump's lackey to the President's corporate buddies...completely made up butt hurt...

Where are those guys now?

They're busy on Facebook investigating Bigfoot and talking about how this whole thing is still a "democrat hoax".

Fukk them, shove a dirty door knob up their asses and throw them over the wall into Mexico.

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. It won't matter, because all of the other Senators, from both parties, will vote for this bill.

It would be nifty if those 4 Senators died. In a slow and horrible manner. And then were revived so they could die a second time, more slowly and horribly than the first time.

In just what way are my panties in a wad? I'm calling out both sides here for their dumbfvckery and yes there is dumbfvckery on both sides. The Dems are not this virtuous, never wrong party ya balllicker!

Let me ask you this - was there or was there not original language in the bill that had nothing to do with the virus relief?

It appears many on this board can’t understand equal opportunity criticism. We’re just called Trumpguzzlers, bootlickers, etc. Criticize the Dems and “you must be one of them” ... pretty comical.

To be more specific, Sol Dunce is clearly one of the bootlickers...Nick, you are not, though you do have an annoying habit of getting your "news" on Breitbart, which is extraordinary fake news...makes Fox blush.

You aren't, either, Streamer.

My comments were aimed at the massive butthurt from the bootlickers on Facebook who were calling for Pelosi's head...based on fake news...and wondering how they were doing with Graham et al's heads, based on actual news.

I bet they are good with holding up $3T in funding to make sure a few people who make minimum wage don't quit their jobs to gather in that extra $20/day for a few months.

They're the same kind of asswipes that think giving poorer people smaller checks is a good idea...I mean, they're fuckin poor. [Bleeeeep!]'em. If they needed more money they wouldn't be so poor.

Fish on...

Neither Nick nor Streamer are shoelickers for Trump. They make an excuse for his complete dumbfuckery and sheer incompetence from time to time, but they aren't the fart-sniffing type.

Sol Duc never smelled a Trump fart that he didn't want to sniff the entire thing up. Same with Evo. Sold out for Trump.

Sol Duc probably has tax reasons for being a fart-sniffer. I get it. Evo sniffs them because he likes the scent.

How's the experiment going, Evo? rofl
