What flys , where and when for the St Joe and North Fork Cor Del Aine, "dont know If I spelled that right".

I know some people here are familiar with these rivers. They are just over an hour from my new home and I know they are supposed to be good. I have scouted them a bit.

Another of intrest it the upper Priest river.

I like late july, august for the St Joe. Pheasant Tails(dries) and Elk Hair caddis.
We fished around Tin Can Flat.

Are you just interested in trout or would you be interested in smallmouth bass and pike? I've had a lot of fun fishing for pike on the chain lakes which are a group of small lakes just off the Coeur d'Alene river before it enters the lake. The Fin and Feather fishing shop can give you up to date info.

I'm heading up there at the end of the month for my yearly trip.

I rafted the St. Joe at the end of last June when the water was very high, talk about a rush. Anyway, I had some luck in the upper sections with beadhead stones and beadhead simulators. Caught a couple decent cutts on a Royal Streamer along the bank.
