I know this is a little early but how would some of you like to get togeather this November on a Saturday or Sunday and fish the South Sound, or another location, for Chums? I'd thought I would put this idea out there so we have some time for people to look at it and discuss it.

I know a couple of spots out on the canal that are generaly pretty quiet and if you hit them right can be full of agressive chums!Not exactly zuipper lips but they get lost in the hatchery fiascos!I would be game.

I would love to do a chum get together!

I am not the guy with chum wisdom, but I would love to learn about fishing for chum.

Heck, my plan is to tie up some chum candy tonight.

i may be interested in going out with some people with more knowledge then me (everyone) would be interesting to learn more from fun people .

I was thinking Eagle Creek on the Hood, or mabey Perry or Mud Bay on the South Sound. This could all change from ohter people's input and run timing. I'd like to keep it either on the Hood or on the South Sound as these are often some of the most productive areas, it's also close for me! . I'll keep people posted through the next month and a half. Hope to get many of you to come!

Do you mean to fish for chum salmon, on purpose? Yikes!

Sorry. Guess my age is showing. I know folks consider them fun to fish for, but I developed as an angler in an atmosphere that regarded chums and humpies as accidental catches, not something you actually tried to catch. Boy, times have changed!

I for one think that chum fishing is an excellent way to put beginners onto fish without the discouragement that comes along with steelheading. A fun day of CnR on chumies is always a fun way to spend the afternoon...Not a bad idea at all.
