The emails keep pouring into WDFW from frustrated and out right angry stakeholders, demanding the Commission hold a Town Hall style meeting.

"The Department and Commission are facing unprecedented feedback from constituents expressing anger over their un-willingness to address the broken co-management process and the continued silence from the Commission on the issue"

The current method to speak to the Commission, and more importantly for them to respond is inadequate for this issue. The public is given a timed three minute period to speak, and the Commissioner's just sit silent and nod. This is not an exchange of information.

The public is calling on the Commission to hold a Town Hall style meeting, where the people can ask the questions we are all wanting answers too. And it will give the Commission the opportunity to respond.

Please join your fellow sportsmen and women and send a message to the Commission. Ask them to hold a town hall to address the public and answer the questions that they have been silent on for too long! Copy and paste this email address: Commission@dfw.wa.gov

All?
What do stream surveyors and low level staff or regional bios have to do with this?
Think about what you type before you do

Surely he was referring to the "low level staff" as part of the co-management process.

I have made more than a few presentations before the Commission....used my 3 minutes.....sometimes got positive comments from Commission....Do I think this is the best way, in NO WAY but it allows the Commission and upper WDFW management personnel to "feel good" that the public got to speak.

Emails are a good way to contact Commission and WDFW personnel BUT it needs to be a 2 way street..........so many emails are never answered, there must be a "black hole" that has thousands of un-answered emails.

Just curious if anyone else has sent in any emails asking the Commission to hold a town hall with the public?

THANK YOU!

We are very grateful for the feedback and the generous donation. It is because of concerned sportsmen like you that we continue the fight!

We have received confirmation that the Commission has received and is considering our call for a Town Hall.

DON'T LET UP

Keep sending those emails to the Commission and let them know it's time they communicate with stakeholders in a more in-depth meeting than just the three minute timed talks we are now allowed!

Here is a copy of our original message we sent to the Commission!

Commissioners,

The Department and the Commission are facing an unprecedented crisis in public trust, brought on by your continued avoidance to address the broken co-management process.

We draw your attention to this example, which is not from our campaign, rather from private citizens who have had enough.
It is only one of hundreds that are circulating within the recreational fishing community and across all the social media platforms.

The amount of negativity is surpassed only by the amount of frustration and out right anger that has been simmering for years. Emotions that are beginning to boil over.

We’ve been telling you for years, burying your head in the sand and pretending that the issues in the broken co-management process will go away is NOT WORKING!

YOU MUST REALIZE THE PUBLIC IS NOT FALLING FOR THE TRICKS ANY LONGER!

The time for avoidance, excuses and deflection are at an end. You, commissioners are being seen as part of the problem rather than a hope for a solution.

Perhaps the time has come for you to consider holding some Town Hall style meetings. Where the people can ask questions and get answers, rather than the frustration of “three minute sound bites” where all you do is nod. You owe it to the stakeholders to be transparent and honest. Right now, our opinion of you is quite the opposite.

As we told Director Susewind. What you choose to do now will forever be your legacy.

Where is the leadership?
