I'm thinking of purchasing a 9FT 8WT med/fast steelhead/salmon rod.

Temple Fork builds a good product, but like any rod .... cast before you purchase. 'One man's meat is another man's pot....'

GREAT rods for the money.

Cast the Series 1 (the rod for under $100), and you will be amazed at what you get for the money! I think that or the Professional series (just under $150) would work well for your based on your description of your desires/needs for a new stick.

I have a model from all of their lines, and they are great rods!
