Best of the Best (My .02)

Casted close to 70 rods at Sandy Spey Clave

The best spey rods I tried where all Miesers:

MKS 13’ 6” 7/8
MKS 13’ 6” 8/9
Highlander 15’ 7/8 (the sweet heart of them all, I have ordered one :p )

Lines

Snowbee (my fav laugh ), XLT and Carron where they BEST!!

Over 100 Spey Rod to test drive and so little time (now that’s a problem evil ).

Brian,
What made you choose the 15' 7/8 vs. the 16' 7/8 Highlancer?

It just fit my style of casting better

My longest rod now is 13' 8"

I really don't like long rods but this one is different

Were you able to cast both the 15'er and the 16'er?

Just curious, I have the 16'er now for a demo. I have not cast the 15'er and was wondering what, if anything other than an additional foot, was the difference. Read lots about how guys liked the 15 but nothing on the 16.

Take care,

Chris

The 15 just fit me better, use three different lines on it.

16 I'll try at Aaron's next week-end and report back
