There is a vindictive part of me that wishes we, the USA, would let them secede. Let them go broke. Imagine the pressure at the Texas and Arizona borders without CBP and no trained Military.
Then, when and if they come to their senses, combine the states like the Dakotas and Carolinas into one each. Saves 4 Senators. Maybe hook Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming into one. Could probably even add Eastern Oregon and NE California. Might even be bigger than Texas and save even more Senators.
Stupid has to hurt.

And Wyoming and Texas have both talked about complete secession from the US. Probably others. The GOP, which controls those states, are talking it up.

Need some sort of Compromise like we have in the 1840s and 50s to admit slave states/free states. To admit Liberty as a state there would need to be a balancing of Senators so we would need to probably add Puerto Rico.

Since western Washington has about 80% of the population, eastern Washington gets 20% of one Senator.
You can have Culp's head, or his left leg from the knee down...whichever one feels more productive for you.
I'd go with the leg.
