Does that mean no gill nets after Dec 31st?

If you look at the QIN net schedule. they don't have any netting after Nov 26. Nothing scheduled for December. So far. Kind of makes one think there won't be a winter steelhead season if the tribe doesn't fish after November. I wonder if WDFW might close late coho in December if there is no tribal netting. Rvrguy?

After Dec the QIN stop with the salmon models. Your in another year for coho and I have never seen a model for late coho they are incidental catch for the QIN. As for Steelhead I was told long ago " all fish or nobody fishes " and nets are not selective. To be honest WDFW has screwed up the late hatchery program by putting normal time fish in the eggtake that one really cannot say what is a hatchery late or a late normal timed fish.

The wild late coho are struggling so I really have no idea what WDFW will do. One should not expect WDFW to set down in a public setting to discuss the matter. They are still hiding in the basement doing dog and pony shows with zoom. With the current director one should not expect change all Olympia's attention is on budget.
