Has anyone heard any credible information about the projected run for the Icicle River this summer?

I've got a cabin up there, and fishing that far up in the mountains and catching chrome upriver brights up to 30 pounds is sure a good way to spend the day!!

Thanks for any info you may have about this year's season.

Todd.

When I was fishing there last year I asked the fish checker and the game warden that same question and they said that it was expected to be a good run. The fish checker said that the Wenachee might be open again like it used to be right in Leavenworth. See you there!!

Todd,

I would think that most of the credible information would come from all your contacts in WDFW. I would tend to believe that information before some of the information posted on here. Anyway, with more than 300,000 springers forcasted, I would think enough would get past hooks, nets, and dams for at least a decent fishery. Only problem I've encountered for getting chromers is timing it right. Too early equals few fish. Too late equals lots of dark fish. Thanks for all the help with WSC.

Thanks for the info, fellas, and thanks for the kind words, Dave.

That would be great if they'd open that stretch of the Wenatchee again, too. That hasn't happened in what, ten or twelve years?

Maybe I'll see a few of you up there this summer.

Todd.

Todd,

I'll be on the Icicle this year. Let me know if you want to float it with me sometime.

Looks like there's gonna be a few rods from this board on the cicle this year, see ya there. It should be good fishing, or a good time anyway.
