Works great now. Thanks for caring about us Mac users. I wouldn't give up my Mac for a 25 lbs hen!
"Computers manufactured by companies such as IBM, Compaq, Tandy, and millions of others are by far the most popular with about 70 million machines in use worldwide. Macintosh fans, on the other hand, may note that cockroaches are far more numerous than humans and that numbers alone do not denote a higher life form".

The G3 processor is still faster and more efficient than Pentium X. My first computer was a Mac IIci. Unfortunately, I am stuck with a PC at work due to the majority rules but at least I also have a UNIX station to escape to peridically.

I'm a Mac user, and I couldn't get into the forums for a day or so earlier this week, but everything seems O.K. now. The only problem is that the whole forums thing seems really slow in loading... and I'm on DSL. Sometimes, at night, I can't even get in, or have to try a bunch of times before I do. I'm a new user, and haven't visited on anything but a Mac, so I'm not sure if this is common problem with the site or if it's got to do with the Mac (shouldn't). FYI, my system is a Mac G3/400, 896MB of RAM, running IE 5.0

hehe, this will be fun My software heavy, custom built Windows 2000 machine is far more stable than any Mac I have ever used. Plus the interface is easier to use and has more options. MacOS X looks very interesting and I'm anxious to give that a try though.

Yup. Works fine now. Thanks for the repairs, Bob. Let's just drop the stupid mac/pc issue. We all know that Macs RULE, so there's no real issue here! Parker, Mac Advocate [ 04-05-2001: Message edited by: parker ]

Yup, working good now but agree with others that loading is slow (nuttin' new). Nice to see some other mac-patriots still hangin' in there. Don't really know if we're better off than the pc guys, been usin' Macs since early '80's and they do everything I need to do without any hassle. I'm on my third machine in almost 20 years, my pc friends average a new system every 2-3 years so whats that tell ya'?
