We are hoping to camp the west side of the peninsula and need some tips on good tent campsites. We will be up there 5/26-29/01. I would be ready to fish and my wife will want to hike. Thanks in advance for your recomendations.

You can camp at Mora campground and hike the beaches on the ocean or another one is to camp up on the Sol Duc and hike the trails and then go to the hot springs pool and soak in the hot water after supper

At the end of the road going up the south side of the quinault there is a campground that you might look at. It has been a few years since i was there but it had everything you are asking for plus not crowded.

Couple of good options on the Hoh ... try Minnie Peterson on the Upper River or Oxbow on the middle, Cottonwood on the bottom end. Easy access for her to the trails up high and lots of fishing area for you near any of these three. Good luck!

There are several free campsites, but may be not be open when you arrive. They are first-come/first served, one on the Sol Duc(Tumbling Rapids)is closed right now. The Hoh has two or three more. Sol Duc Hot Springs is a great place to stay because of the water! There are National Park and State Campgrounds on each river, check the websites, some will take reservations. Have fun, and release all the wild fish!
