Coulon Beach Boat Ramp employees are bass ackwards.
The group of people trying to conduct launch/removal operations don't know what the **** is going on!!!
The young lady directing traffic two days in a row had me launch in a removal lane, which was no problem to me, however there was some angry folks waiting to pull out.
Then we we came back in yesterday she motioned to me and the boat waiting infront of us to remove our boats in the launch lanes. SO I pulled into the launch lane and got my trailer. While I was waiting in line I received a phone call from the wife, she was arguing with some folks trying to launch their boat. She was also arguing with the same person that told us to take our boat out in the launch lane. She told my wife the lane was for launching only and you'll have to move your boat...My wife drive a jet sled...ha ha ha. NOT funny!
Second phone call...Wife says the guys boat launching infront of them is dead in the water...guy has the engine cover off, on the cell phone, holding wires. I told her by the time I get around to the front of the trailer line, he'll be outta there.
3rd phone call...wife says everything is good to go, guy got his boat running and the lane is clear to remove my boat. I'm also at the front of the line and there is no boats around that are launching, only boats taking out. While I'm on the phone talking to my wife, the young lady that told my wife to move our boat comes over and asks if the sled in lane 5 is mine, I reply yes. She says I have to move my boat all the way over to lane 2. So I look over at lane two and there are about 20 boats waiting to take out.
So heres the scenario...my boat is right there ready to take out only 5 feet from being removed from the water and you want me to pull my trailer infront of all these people waiting right there, take my sled and dodge all the boats tied off in lane 2, drive my boat right down the center of the take out lane, and pull out there - I said.
She says...uhhh yup, the last five boats just did dat.
I said I've been sitting here for 20 minutes watching the chaos, 5 boats have NOT done dat!
She says well lane 5 is for launching only. And I know I was changing the rules to accomodate the boat traffic, BUT now were back to the rules.
I said well you had the people infront of us waiting to take out remove their boat in lane five didn't you...now watch me remove my boat in lane 5 and if you don't like DAT, then DATS TOO BAD!!!
So took my boat out, she wrote down my plates, like she can do anything with them ?!?!!!
SO HERES A MESSAGE TO RENTON CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS....DONT LET KIDS TRY TO RUN THE BOAT RAMP. YOU SHOULD HIRE ADULTS THAT CAN USE COMMON SENSE WHEN IT COMES TO LAUNCHING/REMOVING BOATS.
By the way the boat ramp is closed the 2nd week of july for refurbishing...they couldn't do that during the slow winter months. Probably just in time for sockeye fishing if it opens.
