what is the closest boat launch the the hatchery. Planning to go up for a couple of days and just want the shortest boat ride there.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Put in at the power plant there at Potlatch and go north.

Talked with a guy who fished right at the Hoodsport hatchery (finch creek), last week, from the bank. He said they were allowed to park right at the Hatchery walk down to where the fish come up the creek!
Don't know if this is good information...maybe someone else knows more.

The vast majority of the folks tend to fish right at the mouth of the creek that goes up into the hatchery. I seriously doubt that fishing in the creek is legal, as any reasonably decent jumping white boy could jump across it and it would be a serious snagfest.

The Potlach boat launch is just at the base of the hill where the power plant is. The are a few LARGE pipes coming down off of the hill, you can't miss 'em. Park and launch there, and then you have about a 3/4 mile run to the hatchery. It is not very far. This is just past Tillicum beach. Andy
