Hit the river yesterday and went 3 for 7 on steelhead and my friend(who I was trying to get him to catch his first steelie) only hooked and lost it. However I let him land and keep one of my fish, the smaller of the two bucks. All fish hooked on a drifted pink worm and pearl clown corky. The big buck on the right is 33 1/2" x 16", the buck in the middle (the one I let my friend landand keep) was 30" x 16", and the chromer hen on the left was 27" x 12".

The scars were big on these fish. They are almost the size of an adipose but they are just lumps of flesh.

And while you are getting the weigh scale a pair of boots would work for you too!

You always look wet from the knees down. Dang, it's cold out there.

My Pair of neoprene chest waders (Bare is the brand) are 5 years old, have a couple leaks. I think I will get a new pair soon, propbably hodgemans as I don't feel like $360 again.

While most of us are waiting for the rivers to go down you are out catching fish. Way to go! Actually I went out after Christmas and all I found was a cutthroat in bad water conditions.

Sure is refreshing to see and read about a young man who is spending his spare time with wholesome outdoor activities like fishing rather than out stealing cars and dealing drugs. I just hope he's leaving time to get all of his homework done!! I can hear it now, "Well teacher, a fish ate my homework."

Off topic a bit but good waders are worth every penny.

LaCrosse brush tough 5mm to keep you warm and dry, built in boot of course.
