My Dad and my sister both fished the ocean yesterday on different boats.Everybody on the boats limited in a matter of a couple hours. They realesed about half as many so called natives as kept hatchery fish.
I pulled up to my Dads as he was unloading his fish and could'nt believe the size of them.About 10 pounds, plus they said some 12 pounders were caught. They were so fat You would have thoght they were ready to dump a big load of eggs.
Anyhow I cleaned his fish and the first one had 25 anchovies in its belly. The second one had 4 herring and 4 anchovies.
If their running this big in the ocean can you imagine what they are going to be like when they hit the rivers.I personally saw a couple 20 pounders last year.Lots of 16 and 17s. I think this year might outdo that by a pretty fair margin. I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks. Its going to be tough waiting on them to hit our local rivers.
