I was curious if anyone heard or saw the yelling going on between two sleds on the Snoho Sunday above the 522? Looked like a large blue Wooldridge and a smaller Stryker had some pretty heated words. Hope this is not news of things to come on the Snoho system, seem like it would kind of ruin the mood and the reason for being out there.

boater 1, that is correct. To try and make it clear, the reason I am asking is because I do like to know the people I share the river with and what to expect. Thanks

Reading this post reminded me of something that I wanted to vent a little on. Last Thursday while on the Sno. River I noticed that there are many many people that have no idea of what the heck they are doing in their boats or how inconsiderate of others they are! If you are trolling, DO NOT troll into people going the opposite direction of everyone else. Come on, use common sense out there, you wouldn't drive down the wrong side of the road into on comming traffic?

I can not believe what I saw, guys were practically bumping boats when there is the whole other side of the river open. If you want to troll that section, troll with the people going the right direction. Or, since there are a lot of people that seem to think showing up at 9am is the prime fishing time, fish the same direction as the other boats on the correct side of the river. One other thing, don't plant you boat in the middle of the river, have five guys on your boat, casting to both shores and not expect to get dirty looks. YOUR CHOKING OFF THE RIVER, YOUR LINES WILL GET CUT!!!! mad

There is one MAJOR thing that seems to be lacking these days....that is being considerate of others!

It's like the same morons that drive down the freeway doing 35 in the left lane are the same ones that happen to be fishing the river. Didn't you ever watch sesame street? You know, which one of theses don't look like the others??? confused

Come on people use your heads!!!

That was my little vent. Thanks for listening and tight lines!!!

By the way....I killed the silvers on Friday, man that is fun!!! laugh

PMartin, I think the word that best describes the condition of "those" people is OBLIVIOUS. I don't think most of them are pushy or consciously inconsiderate. Usually you can tell by their gear and actions that they don't fish much. It's like you said: They just haven't got a clue! It seems like I encounter more oblivious people in more places everyday. I have to agree, it IS irritating.

Good post Pmartin. Many of them lack awareness and common sense. But there are also those that feine those symptoms while trying to get away with etiquette infractions. In either case, I suggest politely explaining how things are normally better done in any given situation. That usually separates the unaware from the assholes. The latter usually takes ganged up peer pressure or fishing right on their lines to bring closer to proper etiquette guidelines. Repeated intractabel offenders need to be reported to gammies by numerous other fishers to get them to comply, or get them off the river.

Ive had the same type of experiences on the Sno. When you get good numbers of fish close to a big population of people you get ALOT of guys who just dont have a clue. Most of them arent intentially corking you but just lack knowldege on river ettiquete.

Like mentioned above, you can tell who the rookies are out there by the gear they are using or if they automatically flock to wherever the most boats are or most bankies. You cant get pissed at these guys right away because they flat out dont know better.
Ive had guys anchor 15 feet infront of me and when i asked them to move their boat they gave me a look like i was out of line when i'd been throwing there since 5 in the morning and they show up at 10 like they own the river =/ Dont even get me started on the snag boys.

For the most part, its alot of fun, most guys do give you ample room and release snagged fish, its the few that ruin it for others.

Fish on.....
