The best place will be an after work or Saturday trip to Sportco in FIFE. They are exactly what you are looking for except for close proximity. You might want to call them and see if there is a Sportco down there.
Hope that helps... Steve Novotny

There is also a "Big 5" and "Boater's World" on the west side in the Black Lake BLVD area. Between all of the stores already mentioned, I am usually able to get my tackle needs met, but rarely are all needs met by just going to one store.
When the trout opener starts up in April, there are a number of lakes where I have lunch in the area. Many times I have come back from lunch "with dinner". If you are interested, let me know and I can share that info with you.
Welcome to glorious downtown Lacey, where ever the downtown is. I work there as well.
Andy

Nothing secret.
The Deschutes is pretty much done, from what I hear, and I am not aware many opportunities where you could leave work now, go fish, and get back in a standard lunch hour. The closest thing is the Mud Bay fishery for chums towards Shelton. That is about 4 miles out HWY 101 past Black Lake Blvd. If you write your own hours, then maybe you could get down there and back in an hour and a half. Minimum 15 minutes to get there from Lacey.
The two lakes that I usually hit are Ward Lake and Hick's Lake. Both receive plants of Triploids, so you have a chance at catching a decent fish on your lunch, but they are not year round lakes. You can get to both of these spots in 5 minutes or so. I usually pack a lawn chair, fishing gear, and a radio in my truck in the Spring. I have brought back limits on numerous occasions which makes the ladies at the bank I work at laugh a bit.

Kunan, check out Toms Outboards behind AM-PM on the corner of Plum and State Ave. When you get done exploring the tackle you can check out the boats. Also a nice view of the Swantown Marina. Olympia just seems to be a tackle deprived area though!

There's a small but very good one down the Yelm Hwy a bit, somewhere between Yelm and Lacey on a lake. It's called "Uncle Joe's Eggs, Tackle, and Massage". Kid or Fly can give you directions.

If you get on into Yelm, Sunbird has a pretty decent selection of tackle. It won't compare to Sportco (Duh!) but it will fill your basic needs.

OK so here's the Jeffhead all and complete list that if your real lucky and hit it at the right time you might and I repeat you might find what you need: Rite Aide both on Cooper Point Rd and the South Sound Center. (These are sleepers) Big 5 Cooper Point Rd. (Downsized the inventory recently) Boaters World Black Lake Blvd (Usually sold out and poor re-stocking) Tom's Outboard Plum St. (best prices on corkies .12 ea) Tumwater Sports Capitol Way (need more fishing stuff) Fred Meyer Trosper Rd. (poor selection) and Sleater Kinney (better than the other one) K Mart Sleater Kinney (another sleeper) Puget Sound Sports Devoe St. (most expensive place in town) Wal-Mart and Verles Marine (good selection here) in Shelton For fly gear Streamside angler Martin Way and one that I don't know the name of on Pacific Way Yes this is a fishing gear challenged town!!!! You'll spend more time lookin' than findin' I gaurentee that!!! Good luck and tight lines, Jeff
