AuntyM I'm way beyond tryin to be better than anyone else. When fishin around Ladies and children I tend to just sit back and let them have the fish. You outfished me tonite and I have no problem with you outfishin me again. Really appreciate your class and wisdom. Gooose

Gooose you are right on the nut about ladies and kids! I always give my son the #1 spot in hope of him hooking up. I sure enjoy that fish on Dad. I've been outfished by a 12 year old and so what! It's not really a competition anyways!
FJ...out.

Fish Jesus glad to hear it....ohoh...just sec...got a nibble...FISHON! Good thing I CNR Lurkers? Changing bait is highly recommended by Gooose for this fishery . AuntyM do I get to count that one ? Anyway back to FJ...I developed the attitude years back that it's sometimes a lot funner to just kickback and enjoy someone else's pleasure in hooking and playing fish. Kinda adds to the days fishin memories. Gooose BTW: KSR you're probably a decent guy but you need to respond to some of my unanswered questions on your snagging thread if you want credibility? Up to you?

FJ, On the note of kids catching the fish, you should have seen the 9 year old in my boat this past weekend! His teeth were chattering on the first fish he caught (the poor kid was freezin'), on the second he was warming up, the third he was mouthing off, and on the fourth, well, he had bragging rights. His dad {AKA SHUT UP and FISH} had one, and I had, well that smell of skunk that gooose left in the boat form the previous Friday. (Gooose, you had to know it was coming your way ) A good time was had by all. Not too many things more rewarding in life than watching a kid catch fish with his Dad.

fish4steel, I understand what you mean, even though I am not a father. I still remember the first fish I caught with my dad and will never forget. Have been fishin with him ever since. I have to give him credit for my 20# steelhead. On my first steelhead trip with him he gave me first water all day long and helped teach me how to drift fish. I landed two mid-teen hensand a 20# buck. A day I will never forget, or beat. Can't wait until I can someday do the same for my own son.

AuntyM I know it was a "boot" thats why I released it so someone else might have the opportunity to CNR one of these fish . Just wanted to demonstrate my special way of catchin them....never make it as one of RT's guest columnist writeups but it's still fun. Fish4Steel I know...I know. I'm only 44 years old but still hoping I might be able to outfish someone. BTW you better have something better than MRE's for the ARK :p ? Gooose

Gooose, now you know I don't float without my own recipe of smoked salmon in multiple steaks. If I recall, you tried to get me to put this stuff in MREs . Uncle Sam can't pay me enough for that. I thought that you caught and BONKED (just to clarify, so I don't get H like KB, bonked as in crushed on the back of the head until dead) lurkers, a skill learned from your old logging days OK KB, your shot.

Totally against fillet and release fishery on lurkers....might run out. Yeah your right about including your excellent smoked salmon in MRE's! Be a lot better than socalled "meat product." Gooose

The soldiers term for "processed meat product" is appropriately -mystery meat. I all honesty, the new MREs aren't too bad....well most of them. I'm still not too fond of bean and frankfarters, I mean frankfUrters. Neither is anyone down wind of me
